1998 | Philippe et Raymonde Klopfenstein, with Pierre, Timothée and Déborah, doctor and mid-wife, arrived in Laos in June 1994. They first worked with MSF in Champassak. During that time, they prepared the medical project in Attapeu, in order to rehabilitate the health services in the province, where they opened the project and served from June 1998 to June 2001. Philippe came back in Laos from October to November 2001 in order to introduce his successor. |

2000 | Philippe et Babette Schmidt have worked with SFE from April 2000 to December 2007. Philippe is a doctor and has been Director of SFE during all this time. Babette is an artist. She was in charge of the handicraft departement. They set up Mai Savanh Lao (MSL), a local fair trade enterprise involved in silk production, silk products and other local Lao products. Since 2008, Philippe and Babette have been involved full time in MSL. |

2003 | Melinda Kim is a nurse. She came in Laos in 2000 as a Corean voluntary worker. She joined SFE in 2003 to work with the medical project in Attapeu, then moved to the medical project in Luang Namtha in February 2006 to June 2010. |
2004 | Alex et Silke Korte, with Silas, Elias and Jason (born during their stay). Alex is a surgeon, and was in charge of the partnership programme with the Friendship Hospital in Vientiane from July 2004 to November 2005. |
Michael et Isabelle Mattmüller, with Lisa and Lea (born during their stay). Michael is an ingineer in agronomy in Isabelle is a doctor. Michael took over the responsability of project manager in the silk project in Luang Namtha after Lukas Blaser, from October 2004 to April 2007. Isabelle worked for the medical training in this province. When the project was closed in 2007, they came in Vientiane and Michael worked at the head office until October 2007. | |

She married Vanh Kèovongkhot mid-June 2010 and Aude has been supporting the tuberculosis project from Vientiane and providing cultural orientation to new expatriates until July 2012. |

Floriane is a mid-wife. She worked in the follow-up of obstetrics and gynecology as well as in the Mother and Child Care Programme. Luc has been executive Director from June 2010 to their return in France in 2012. |

2010 | Esther Rauen arrived in Laos in February 2010. Dietitian with a master in international health, she lived in Attapeu and has been coordinator of the Community Health Development Project in continuation of our long term medical involvement in the province. Nathanaël has been administrator then Executive Director of SFE in Laos since July 2012. Marie-Joëlle helped to welcome newcomers and in communication. Ruth Marcasi is a nurse from the Philippines.
She arrived in Laos in 2010, where she worked in the nursing
training programme at Attapeu hospital and in the hospital
project in Sekong. From 2020 to 2022, she was involved in a
project to train hospitals about Covid-19. In 2018, she married
our co-worker, David Maillow. Arrivée au Laos en 2010, elle a collaboré avec le SFE jusqu’en 2022. Elle a d’abord travaillé dans le programme de formation des infirmier/ères de l’hôpital d’Attapeu et dans le projet hospitalier à Sékong, puis à la mise ne place d’un projet d’appui aux hôpitaux dans le cadre de la réponse d’urgence à la situation du Covid. Elle a épousé notre collaborateur David en 2018. |

2011 | Célio and Elise Nelson (with Noah, Sarah and Isaac). Célio has been helping Nathanaël Rediger in the coordination of the Community Agriculture and Development Project, and was in charge of the project administration and logistics. Élise has been exploring new projects and was in charge of the liasing with the donors. They worked in Laos from July 2011 to April 2014. |
Christian et Nathalie Poschung. Nathalie has been in charge of the Tuberculosis Project in Sekong province, and involved in quality control in different laboratories in the provinces of Sekong andAttapeu. Christian was in charge of the logistics of these projects, English teaching and IT. They have worked in Laos from January 2011 to April 2014. | |
2014 | David Mallow is a German engineer. He has worked in Attapeu since January 2014. He brought a technical support to the Community Health Development project manager, in particular for the development of latrines and water system in the villages. He then help us in a project to support people with disabilitities in Attapeu Province until 2022. In 2018, he married with our co-worker Ruth Marcasi. |

Aimée, nurses, have worked in the preparation and the start-up of

and education project in Salavan. In between, they have served as trainees in the Participative Community Development Project in Sekong province. They have worked in Laos from November 2016 to January 2018. |
2020 | Leah Doty worked with SFE from 2020 to Spring 2022. She supported the project for people with disabilities through administration and facilitating communication between local people and foreigners. She has an Bachelor degree in intercultural studies. /div> |
